THE CROWELL BOOK OF ARTS AND CRAFTS FOR CHILDREN

Curt, workaday directions for supervising children in all sorts of craft activities from paper folding, finger painting and basket weaving to carpentry, lithography and filmmaking, with at least as much attention to the earlier, nursery school crafts as to the more complicated ones where further help will no doubt be sought. Though Arnold appends a list of ""applications"" for the skills he hopes to teach, the emphasis is on learning how and there are none of the step-by-step pincushions, pencil holders and the like that most kids' crafts books feature. Inessential, but it could come in handy as a first resort for unprepared recreation leaders.
