KIRKUS REVIEW

Dobrin's suggestions for inexpensive home-made Halloween costumes, puppets, party decorations, and treats are among the simplest to be found, but he doesn't come up with any notable variations on the staples already much recycled through countless craft and costume books. Though he avoids the gooeyness, edible and otherwise, of Glovach's Little Witch (indeed, contemporary parents will applaud all those recipes based on pumpkins, fruits, and carrots), the projects haven't much style and neither do the inky black drawings. An unobjectionable resort.
