WHITHER EUROPE?

Here's a book that is already so dated that it creaks. It is uneven in interest, it is prejudiced in favor of the Catholic viewpoint (i.e. his view of the Spanish War, his slant on the Russian peril, his sweeping criticism of Socialism in all its manifestations). The publishers' blurb would lead one to expect it to be a book dealing largely with the Balkans, but the Balkans absorb a scant third of the whole, I should say, and his reasoning is already outdistanced by events.
