Though the elegantly disdainful frog on the cover says blah, few others will be able to resist an opener like ""I'll tell you what it's like to be a giraffe"" -- or pass over a rhyme like ""He (a seal) had flubbery flippers/ That seemed sort of rubbery/ And when lost in the woods/ He would hide in the shrubbery"" -- or question the ""true names of the months. . . Jammyway, Fibberway, Marts. . ."" -- or fail to agree with ""Life is fribble! Life is furbing!'/ Sang the weasel to the moon,/ And the crowd of Snurds and Squimples/ Danced in circles to the tune."" Our guess is that whole Rumbudgins of youngsters will read and repeat and dance in circles to Spilka's phonic lunacy.
