KIRKUS REVIEW

This is keyed for a double market -- so don't bury it with your murder yarns, as it is much more than that. Train's background is a familiar one to his readers -- as an ex-Assistant D. A. he knows the law, he knows police affairs -- and he has capitalized his intimate knowledge in this story of the war against the racketeers of New York. A timely story, swiftly paced, and exciting reading, of the trailing of a gangster by the man (and the son of the man) he had marked down as his victims.
