KIRKUS REVIEW

There's great charm and little pretension in these reminiscences of Our American Cousin at an English school and on the continent. His father's decision to send him to an English public school brought Arthur- over and above the classroom- trips to France, Germany and Egypt. This record of the green, green playing fields, along with a very green American, has its humor and pathos.
