SERMONS ON QUESTIONS CHILDREN ASK

Dr. Arthur Meilke, minister of the Park Central Presbyterian Church, Syracuse, has written an unusual book of sermons for family use. Here are fifteen sermons for children on questions they ask, such as ""Where has Grandma gone?"" and the sermon is a Christian exploration, in terms a child can understand, of what happens to people when they die. There then follows an adult sermon on ""The Problem of Death"". There is a child's sermon on ""Who Were Adam and Eve's Parents?"" and a companion sermon for adults on ""The Problem of Creation"". Another child's sermon, ""If we are Quiet, Can we hear God Speaking?"" and its adult companion, ""The Presence of God"". This device of presenting spiritual truth on two levels should commend itself to many parents whose children are bound to ask these questions. The sermons are written with clarity and insight, and are well illustrated both from the Bible and every-day life.
