WEATHERCRAFT

A pleasant and in general simple handbook about how to make and operate gadgets for analyzing the weather. Although there is a rather unnerving omission of danger warnings concerning the suggested use of ether, the equipment is otherwise composed of safe material and is unusually simple to make. The rain gauges, wind vanes, anemometer, thermometers, nephoscope, barometer described here approximate closely in principle and operation the real thing and should be fun to use, while giving the back yard a professional air. We do wish that more space had been devoted to theory, since the reader is given no real background for use of the weather map, but this is a practical laboratory approach to a fascinating hobby.
