MENABONI'S BIRDS by Athos & Sara Menaboni

MENABONI'S BIRDS

By

Pub Date: Nov. 10th, 1950
Publisher: Rinehart

The Italian painter, Menaboni, having won the reputation of being a modern Audubon, and exhibited his bird paintings at galleries and natural history museums in many places, will now reach the general public in this beautiful volume. Reproduction processes make it impossible to see- in advance- the full panorama of the plates,- 32 in full color, 13 in black and white, and 30 part page reproductions. The samples we have seen are extraordinary in their fidelity to the birds portrayed, in the decorative quality of the settings and details. Forty six birds have been selected for this volume, and the spot drawings enhance the factual value of the plates with detailed drawings. The text- an intimate personal story of the birds they have known- is written by the painter's American wife. We are reporting this book without seeing full material so that you may take advantage of the pre-publication price.
