ADVENTURE IN BLACK AND WHITE

A ripping good adventure yarn set in the African Congo which rings true from beginning to end. The experiences of a white boy in the dense jungle -- his capture by fierce pigmies and his escape, are skillfully interwoven with a story of his young black companion. The latter helps unravel a plot against the American Base during the turmoil of a tropical hurricane. To the author's lively sense of humor and keen observation are added fine character development. One could not desire more expert writing or a more breathtaking tale, well keyed to young people's interest in the embattled dark continent.
