KIRKUS REVIEW

A book for the rental library market, particularly those who like theatrical backgrounds. Against the setting of the English theatre is told this story of attractive Cliff, an actor destined to go far, but hold back by his possessive, jealous wife, and of his eventual upward climb, through the help of a Jewish comedian in music halls. Somewhat uneven in the telling, but not lacking in entertainment value.
