KIRKUS REVIEW

Steve and Sim, who appear regularly, are at their usual low in Watcher on the Heights. The boys discover that a recent parolee is hiding out on an abandoned farm hoping to spy on the man whose testimony convicted him earlier.... You can always count on Steve and Sim to stay at least one chapter behind the reader's foreknowledge of what is to come, an ego factor which may account for their success with Derleth devotees. Otherwise it's plodding plotting in what must be a written out series. Or almost.
