MAKING GOOD TALK

With the accent on Christian approach, this is a book of recommendations on How To Impose Your Conversation which, after a general essay on talk and its place in all phases of life, goes on to sections of special application. There are the faults to avoid-narrowness of view, lack of special interests or new slants or definite data-; there is the bettering of grammar, diction, voice, graciousness and good taste; there are examples for every hint and guide indicated. A book for stimulating interest so that irritation of dull talk may be lessened, this however, with its Catholic background, will find an audience more particularly in this denomination.
