Alphabetically arranged from the 12th century monastery at Abbey Dore to a megalithic tomb at Zennor Quoit, some 4000 sites are covered in England, Wales and Scotland with the Irish section appended in a separate gazeteer toward the close of the some 600 pages. There are insets of AA maps as well as 700 photographs in color and 200 drawings, but the size and weight suggest that you start out in England with your own car.
