MUSIC ON RECORDS

This is a record bibliography for the selective purchaser, the collector who really wants to know the relative merits of different reproductions, rather than simply a catalogue of available records. The author is the music critic of the Nation, and has established a high standard of criticism which has given him an authoritative position with people of taste and comprehension. This book will doubtless be frowned upon in record stores, as not being sufficiently catholic in taste and judgment; for that reason bookstores and public libraries have a plus chance for building a market.
