THE CANADIAN PEOPLES by B. K. Sandwell

THE CANADIAN PEOPLES

By

Publisher: Oxford

An addition to The World Today series, and a small book important in its own right, a book that should make us understand our neighbors to the north better. Unfortunately, the author assumes too much on the part of his readers; he gives insufficient historical and political background for his excellent analysis of the national and regional differences which are an important part of Canada, now as formerly. American readers, outside of Canada, need a clear cut chart of chronological facts of settlement and conquest; another chart of the political system. Much of this is implicit in this text about the peoples; but the text would be better against a primer of fact. None the less, worth reading for the facts he gives.
