A study in group superiority is this zany account of a moose, a cow, and a horse, all of whom assume that the others are of their own species. Only when they see their reflections in a stream do they acknowledge that there are differences; but each one convinced that he is uniquely beautiful. The cartoon-line illustrations of the author are more humorous than they are attractive, which keeps this charming fable from being as completely successful as its text promises.
