KIRKUS REVIEW

This is a charming book of verse in which the poet and critic comes into her own, to a complete mastery of technique suitable for her half sad, half gay and lightly whimsical moods. Heaviness has left her verse, and substance and manner have reached a happy compromise. The poems here-which have appeared in the better magazines- are based on an actual experience which is not only delicately described, but leads on to a suggestive, philosophic idea which is introduced with subtlety and charm. All in all, they provide delightful examples of skillful, contemporary verse, and will please many tastes and sympathies.
