Directed towards any inquiring mind as well as the college affiliation. There are chapters on a diversity of themes- ""Will science commit suicide?""- ""What is decadence?""- ""The dangers of literacy"", etc. as well as searching criticism of our institutions of higher education. A main premise is that our present civilization is endangered by the way community living tends to frustrate and disintegrate the human being, and there are workable suggestions to return the individual to himself- to help him to more purposeful community living.
