DIGBY AND KATE AGAIN

Four peaceable stories about the young dog and cat whose friendship was so firmly established in Digby and Kate (1988). Here, Kate gets star billing, and once again the contrast between slow, methodical Digby and the flighty energy of Kate provides much of the humor. On a hunt in the garden, Kate stalks insects (they all escape) while Digby ""hunts"" down a bone and retreats to the shade to gnaw it contentedly; Kate cheerfully turns her house upside-down as she puts off writing a letter; she helps Digby rake leaves, then jumps into the pile. Meanwhile, Winborn puts the fuzzy friends in loose, comfortable clothing and places them in a colorful suburban environment.
