THE PRINCE AND THE PINK BLANKET by Barbara Brenner

THE PRINCE AND THE PINK BLANKET

Baby prince loses, regains security blanket--because an old wizard remembers that his father carried one around too (and he has home movies to prove it). If that situation tickles you, you'll find it elaborated upon in a large-size picture book done up (decorative borders and such) like a medieval manuscript and provided with royal proclamations on the one hand, telephones and TV sets on the other. A parody reminder that, as the jacket says, ""even Kings and Queens were once children too""--perhaps best suited to protesting parents who've forgotten that they were once kids.
