CASSEROLE COOKING FUN

The young innocent in the kitchen will find instant success with this thorough and efficiently designed little cookbook. It outlines kitchen procedure (preparation and cleanup) and safety, explains how to measure, how to cut the requisite ingredients, the meaning of some essential cooking terms (baste, glaze). Even ""boiling"" and ""breaking an egg"" aren't too simple to describe. Each recipe includes a list of utensils needed and completely clear instructions. The lighthearted illustrations sometimes elucidate but more often just amuse with a cubscout here and a small girl in bermudas there. Fun in the pot.
