THE BIG FISH

Pierre, a little French Canadian boy, lives for the day that he, like his father, will be a woodsman. When his father takes him out on a fishing trip, he manfully lands a trout, and after an exhilarating day in the woods, returns home to his large and proud family a little closer to his goal. Illustrated in pictures evocative of the locale, this story appeals to the child's desire to emulate his father and also gives the child much of the flavor of life in the Canadian woods.
