KIRKUS REVIEW

The study of a rapacious female through the results of her schemes on those involved -- the picture of a likeable weakling and the three women in his life. A London marriage, founded on ambition rather than love, fails when the ambition is not realized, and the wife turns against her husband in revenge. Rental library rather than sales appeal -- but good entertainment at that.
