KIRKUS REVIEW

Another of that swarm of adequate but unimportant English novels which seem scarcely worth importation. This is a second rate imitation of The Constant Nymph in the story of Dominica, aged 16, and of Petra, daughters of a poseur who yearned to be though artistic and original, and of the woman who gave up art to be his wife -- and slave. Of Petra marrying Guy to forget her one true love; of Domenica working off her disillusionment by becoming mistress to anyone who wanted her. Pretty poor stuff -- pass it up.
