COOKIE CRAFT: No-Bake Designs for Edible Party Favors and Decorations

One hopes that most would-be crafters will be deterred by the authors' prefatory recommendation of commercial cookies--on the grounds that they are more consistent than ""your own oven products,"" they don't get stale as fast, and (the clincher) ""the completed craft items look more expensive than they really are."" Others will surely be turned off by the gunky Humpty Dumpty (frosted chocolate marshmallow cookies) on his wall (frosted coconut bars) or the graham cracker cart with buttercup cookie wheels, candy cane handles, fancy iced umbrella, and cargo of artificial flowers. Perhaps some will remain to lick up the frosted fig newton luggage, ice cream cone windmill, animal cracker carousel, and other such assaults on the eye and palate. But why encourage them?
