CHILDREN OF AMERICA

Story Parade is building gradually an excellent list of contributors. The successive volumes of selections (issued now for three years, I believe) show good judgment and high standards. Now in this volume, of 15 stories chosen for their American background, we get an excellent picture of many types and interests, varying backgrounds, varying points of view. Sheep country, corn belt, city docks, Cape Cod shore, Negro, Indian, foreign born, native Americans, children of mountains and plains, country and city. The regional stories give facets of today's picture. Authors include such familiar names as Charles Finger, Charlie May Simon, Idella Purnell, Cornelia Meigs, Eva Knox Evans, etc. Foreword by Lucy Sprague Mitchell.
