KIRKUS REVIEW

The story of the remaining members of the two families whose record goes back into the beginnings of a Connecticut town, and of how one of the elders helped pull the wires to knit their strengths together, in spite of discouragement of unwise marriage and other disintegrating factors. The book hasn't quite the zest and flow of Walk Humbly but again it reveals Barbara Stevens as a writer with a new approach and real vitality.
