Though it takes its departure from a preposterous generalization--that the difference between a ""genius"" and a non-genius is a nurturing home environment--some of this action-oriented self-fulfillment talk isn't so far off target. In a thumpingly cheerful vein, Women's-Success-Teams founder Sher advocates sifting through fantasies and images to concoct your heart's true desire--the one that may have been buried long ago by the derision or discouragement of others. Once specific goals have been set, and the core of their appeal identified, the trick is to face the seemingly insurmountable obstacles squarely, attack them in ""brainstorming"" sessions alone or with friends, and establish a support network to implement the solutions. The inch-by-inch problem-solving coups of the young divorcee determined to enter medical school or the hypothetical dreamer who wants to sail around the world make the unlikely seem a little less so. Though no one should take everything here at face value (particularly lists of possible solutions that include begging and stealing), Sher knows how to value experience and develop contacts; she extracts maximum benefit from the state of the art--or craft--by which wishes come true.
