LAST OF THE WILD STALLIONS

A wholly adult approach for the always appealing story of a man and his horse. Wyoming ranchers organize a drive against the wild broncs which have been imperilling their grass and their mares and it is Jeff who corrals Sky High, son of White Tail, leader of the wild band. He loses his heart to the yearling, gentles and trains him but Sky High is stolen and sold to a rodeo as a bucker. Jeff finds him, proves his mastery of the horse and returns home for a second test of Sky High's loyalty when his affection for the man proves stronger than the call of the wild. For this species of story, subdued, but with a general atmosphere of authenticity and thoroughly likable.
