GENTLEMEN'S AGREEMENT

Rental library appeal, in an unimportant but definitely readable story. Two men meet at a small English seaside resort hotel, and are drawn together by the mutual curse of their wives. They make a joint murder pact, each to dispose of the other's wife -- and to supply each other's alibis. It works -- but the outcome is not all that was anticipated. Not as morbid as this sounds, but actually rather a clever and flippant tale.
