It is hard to give any idea of the information embodied in this book without giving the impression of the Britannica. Yet it all goes into 292 large typed pages, and, while we think of it, we doff our hats to Sheed & Ward for their excellent type, soft cream paper, and the attractive format of their books. This is a biography of our Lady in art, as an influence over men and women as well as other religions, a visit to the world's famous shrines, a survey of Bible women. All this and lots more written in the inimitable ""Martindale"" style. For all Catholics ""yes!"" but also for all Protestants who would correct the many false conceptions held by non-Catholics as to the place of Mary, the mother of their Jesus, too.
