SONGS TO GROW ON

A collection of American folk songs for children from three to twelve with explanatory text and rhythm band arrangements. A singing range within every child's ability, simple piano settings, and gay illustrations make this a pleasant addition to the music library. The songs are divided into five groups, graded within each group. The old favorites are here as well as regional songs -- all with a heavy, dance rhythm- Old Adam, The Crawfish Man, The Frog and the Mouse, The Blue Tail Fly, some Christmas and winter songs, I've Been Working on the Railroad, Whoopie Ti-Yi-Yo, The Mocking Bird, etc. are wonderful group songs. This would be a good item for camps and schools.
