HOW JOE THE BEAR AND SAM THE MOUSE GOT TOGETHER

A mouse so small and a bear so big offer the artist a field day in comic contrast which he has seized by exaggerating the fragility of the first and the tonnage of the second. Joe and Sam are dressed in colorful checkered suits and straw skimmers. The text has a skit routine flavor. It's made up of one or two lines per page of the things they'd like to do together for which Sam proves too small and Joe too big until they hit on the idea of eating ice cream in each other's company everyday at 3 p.m. Too long, too dull, and too nearly pointless, it is hard to imagine this standing up to a second reading.
