Michael is only a little boy when he decides to be a hero. Not wishing to procrastinate, he embarks at once on his adventurous escapade, a challenging route conjured up by his imagination. Wild animals, dizzying heights, daring dives do not faze Michael, who acquits himself with valor, returning at evening to his father's lap, a contented wanderer. Remo Farruggio's drawings--delicate and insinuating lines on bold areas of color--lend the somewhat reptitions text a poetic vitality.
