KIRKUS REVIEW

This is a eulogistic picture book with elegaic rhymes about the virtues and habits of cats. The line images of cats are not of the endearing, appealing kitty-cat variety. These felines are sphinx-y, draped here and there, sitting on tables, curled atop a child's head. It's a twentieth-century kind of presentation -- but we think it will appeal only to affirmed cat -enthusiasts. We doubt that it will make converts of those who aren't cat-lovers to begin with.
