WHAT CAN YOU DO WITH A SHOE?

By

Publisher: Harper

Mild object lessons for the very young serve to illustrate normal usage of a few everyday things by way of contrast with the ridiculous. You could wear shoes on your feet, you could wear them on your ear or your head; a broom could be used to tickle a porcupine instead of sweeping the floor etc. Animation by Maurice Sendak who did The Grant Story (1953, p. 181) with this author, helps carry the cuteness.
