THE NOISY CLOCK SHOP; THE BABY ELEPHANT; IT'S A SECRET; THE KITTEN'S SECRET

The clock shop story about Mr. Winky who ran away from the tinkles and bongs of the clocks to find a quiet place, only to return gladly to the comforting clock-chatter when he finds the world full of terrible noises, is punctuated with readable catch ""sounds""...Circus atmosphere in both the elephant and ""secret"" book -- a baby elephant is lost and returns safely home to mother after he trails behind a wagon instead of mother; and Tony, whose father a circus clown, invents a wonderful trick to fool his father- offering an explanation of the famous ""loaded car"" stunt...A simple story in The Kitten's Secret, all about how a kitten found a special secret place to sleep. All illustrations well reproduced and of a high quality of humor -- except the kitten pictures which are somewhat over-sweet.
