Another story of the Chinese mission where Thomas and Anna, small Chinese orphans, took refuge with the good Sisters in The Long Road to Lo -- Ting. Each one of these books has had the real feel of Chinese life and people and customs, and a certain quality of the basic goodness and understanding -- yes and humor -- of the nuns. Anna and her chum, Barbara, ""borrow"" a paper funeral horse from the place next door, and cause plenty of excitement at the rehearsal for the Christmas play. But it all comes out satisfactorily, for all concerned.
