KIRKUS REVIEW

The author of other well-received sports stories for young boys easily takes to the ice. Eddie MacDougal, a small boy with an amusingly big vocabulary, wants to play forward like his father once did, but when fast skating proves rough, he switches to goalie without consulting him. All ends smoothly as Eddie keeps sharp eyes on the puck and Mr. M., the proud father, cheers.
