KIRKUS REVIEW

The track-and-field route to an untroubled mind in an overgrown body. ""Tiny"" Murphy, butt of the other boys and desolate because his sports' skills lag behind his height, is coached to shot-put prominence by athletic Sherra Robinson in exchange for teaching her to dance; his natural rhythm plus a strategically-hummed tune propel him to first place in the meet and parity with the other ""big guys."" A blatant, girl-guided ego builder that doesn't say much for boys altogether--Sherra throws her race rather than beat out a grudging male teammate.
