The text is brief and informative. The pictures are clear and large enough to illuminate the points of difference that Mr. Lord emphasizes in his text. The book does not attempt to be definitive, but for its size and price, covers over 300 years of continuing modification with a nice eye to the most salient developments. A book that should be a popular addition for an over eager audience.
