BESSIE BOSSIE

The J. Fox (Hartford, Conn.) radio character, Bessie Bossie, has been going on for years, with huge success, so there must be some secret attraction. Anyhow, here it is in a picture book, and the silly country cow goes to the city and comes back, with a permanent, a facial and plenty of frills and furbelows. I'd say thumbs down on the book. But department stores may find it saleable.
