THE FIRST BOOK OF COWBOYS

This is one of the best books we have seen about cowboys and their work. The text, covering ranch life, a cowboy's various jobs, his gear, horses, and his songs and stories, is simple and lively at the same time. Diagrams aid in explaining cowboy clothes and tack, and handsome sketches in black and white by William Moyers enliven the text. A ""must"" for the insatiable cowboy market, as well as a valuable additions to the supplementary reading list in schools.
