KIRKUS REVIEW

With two riddle books for children proving the popularity of question and answer humor, this is Cerfed up for adults, from old chestnuts to hot off the (g)riddle topical teasers. Name your subject -- birds and beasts, how to do it, romantic, family, food, history, weather, etc., etc.,- and there's a short order cooking up for you (""Why did the fly fly? Because the spider spied-er."") (""If eggs were twenty sex cents a dozen, how many could you buy for a cent and a quarter? Twelve."") which may not be always to your taste, but often tempts your risibilities. A little late for this silly season but an easy icebreaker for fall foolery.
