KIRKUS REVIEW

First introduced in Eggs of Things. Skippy, his friend Buzz and Buzz' sister, rest, are once again together in a simply worded story with complicated excitement. At a summer cottage by the sea, they discover a nest of rubbery eggs in the sand and wait for them to hatch. Buzz and Skippy are usually together while Pest busybodies around with their sheepdog, Cowboy. Cowboy, who had been a faithful egg watcher, disappears during an electric storm and is found on a nearby island in the company of a young seal. The seal had been washed out of a small aquarium whose owner had been supplying Pat with a lot of information on the eggs. This story is rather more involved than Easy Readers usually dare to get, even if the adventures do border on the incredible. The children are differentiated characters and their summer is captured in good humored pictures.
