The high, and low, marks of sitting it out while a boy goes from 10 to 18 achieves sympathy in this father's story. A real ""man"" at 10 when his father came home from the Navy, Goggle began an awkward period with his family. A move from New York was a boost, but prep school in New England was tough; then there were girls, manners, MARKS, vacations etc., etc., all of which-despite the trips and stubbings- brought a final maturity. Heartening parental stuff with a familiarfeel, this should have many sympathizers.
