THE PASS BEYOND KASHMIR

A successor to The Achilles Affair is again an intricate intrigue in which pukka British undercover agent, Idwal Reed, is employed to track down some secret information hidden in Tibet. This paper chase leads him, along with an associate, across most of India by various conveyances and in various disguises. Nevertheless they are unmasked by their opponent, Kavronski, who captures them and reveals a bigger secret-- that the Chinese are tunneling through Tibet to reach oil in Persia. A perhaps wild plot is full of picturesque characters and the pursuit, while not wholly believable, is full of breath-taking action and scenery.
