INSIDE PASSAGE by Bern Keating

Email this review

The Inland Passage runs from the Strait of Juan de Fuca in Washington through British Columbia to Skagway, Alaska, and this is a small celebration of what's there --Indians, wildlife and wilderness, enterprising cities, fresh salmon dinners. A sprightly prose characterizes life styles and the passing scene, and color photographs (taken by Dan Guravich) provide complementary views. Although some have postcard blue skies, many are quite lovely--the foggy symmetry of Seal Cove, a house-sized boulder moved along Taku Glacier, the mauve sea near Triple Island, a pair of sockeye spawning.
