He illustrates in black and white, examples: the mountain chalet of Switzerland, the mud house of Himalaya, the paper house of Japan, a medieval European castle, the houses of Ireland, the cliff dwellings of the Pueblon long ago, and the apartment house of most large cities all are depicted and described in a fairly small, very elementary, round-up. The format is informative but pedestrian.
